My Story

I'm one of the senior doctors working at Mountbatten Hampshire. I've worked here for 10 years now and in that time I've seen our services adapt to the different challenges of the times as best they can, but I know first-hand how stretched our resources are and also how much of a difference they make to patients and their loved ones.

I consider it a genuine privilege to do the work I do - caring for people and supporting them to live as well as possible through an incredibly difficult time in their lives. Mountbatten Hampshire is passionate about continuing to provide 24/7 palliative care to all who need it, in the most appropriate setting for each inidivual - be that their own home, nursing home, attending day hospice or spending some time in the Hospice Inpatient Unit. Please join me in supporting Mountbatten Hampshire in continuing the important work they do.

I've also chosen to do Walk the Test Way as a fundraiser because it's taking place on my birthday, and I thought it would be a fun way to "earn" my birthday cake later in the day... athough anyone who knows me will know I don't need encouragement to eat cake! I will be walking with my Mum and maybe also one or both of my children (to be confirmed depending on mood and energy levels on the day!)

Please do support me and Mountbatten Hampshire by sponsoring me. All money raised from my fundraiser will go directly to Mountbatten Hampshire, raising vital funds to support people affected by death, dying and bereavement across Hampshire. Thank you!
